Volunteer as a Mentor
Are you interested in serving as a role model for a child or teenager? Ometz is looking for volunteers for our mentorship program.
As an Ometz mentor, you will develop a meaningful relationship with a young child or adolescent over the course of a year, and provide him or her with help and guidance. All mentors receive training, as well as professional support and guidance on an ongoing basis.
The Ometz mentorship program is open to individuals 20 years of age and older, who can commit 6-8 hours a month.

Ometz offers a number of ways that mentors can engage with youth in the community, helping them prepare for life’s challenges and build towards success. From supporting children in their schoolwork to keeping them off drugs, Ometz’s special programs are designed to help give kids a head start in life.
Maximize Youth Potential (MYP) Program
The MYP program focuses on helping adolescents and young adults overcome troubling circumstances and achieve academic success. As an MYP mentor, you will work with young people whose families are long-time Ometz clients – families struggling with poverty, abuse, mental illness or other challenges.
