The first of many…

By Howard Berger and Gail Small, Co-Executive Directors, Ometz

What is Ometz? On a basic level, it’s the Hebrew word for courage. But for many Montrealers, it’s the name of a trusted service provider, helping to fulfill the needs of individuals and families, no matter how great or how small. We’re a non-profit organization wearing many hats, speaking to many different audiences, offering a countless number of services and programs; essentially, Ometz is whatever you need us to be.

We’re excited to launch our new website and our brand new blog. This is our welcome post, the first of many. Our subsequent posts will come from a variety of different voices, with topics ranging from employment to immigration to entrepreneurship to social services to training. We will have something for everyone – a mix of everything including the kitchen sink!

But the best part about our blog is the opportunity to hear from you. Tell us what courage (or Ometz) means to you. We challenge you to inspire us.
