WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Marketing  and Digital Specialist is responsible for the creation of cross-platform social startegies, building relevant engaging communications, and organizing monthly content calendars. The Marketing and Digital Specialist will also implement all of Ometz’s project-based communications and marketing—across digital and traditional channels to a wide array of stakeholders. Reporting directly to and collaborating with the Marketing Director, the Marketing and Digital Specialist will liaise with an internal team and related external suppliers to ensure that marketing initiatives are executed effectively, on time and on budget, and will drive brand awareness and engagement by communicating the Ometz story across its digital channels.

 

 

RESPONSABILITIES:
 
  • Serve as the organizational community manager on all social media platforms, responsible for annual social media calendar (in concert with copywriter/content calendar), and the execution of ongoing and regular posting, ad boosting, analytics, and post approvals, monitoring and feedback
  • Optimize digital footprint of the organization and develop strategies to increase visibility and engagement across all channels—leveraging data analytics as available
  • Work with Marketing Director to enhance the Ometz brand and reputation through content management on Ometz's social media channels
  • Act as primary account manager on a broad portfolio of ongoing marketing communications projects for Ometz departments, including tools and tactics related to general organizational branding, client programming, events, fundraising development and recruitment
  • Facilitate effective project implementation and trafficking from brief to completion, liaising with internal colleagues, internal marketing departmental specialists, and external suppliers as needed
  • Prepare email blasts to various constituent segments on the Constant Contact platform (or similar) to optimize conversion—liaising with copywriter, graphic designer(s) and web developer as needed
  • Make updates to the organization’s website either via its CMS or through web host/developer
  • Help ensure consistent brand implementation across the organization
  • Collaborate inter-departmentally and with external resources to provide direction and streamline project execution

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in related marketing/communications discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of marketing expertise in similar role/function
  • Proven proficiency in digital as well as traditional marketing, with strong knowledge of digital best practices
  • Passion for marketing implementation and cause marketing
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational skills and highly detail oriented
  • Team player, results-oriented, and resourceful
  • Fully bilingual in both English and French
  • Proficient in MS Office, Constant Contact, all social media platforms, WordPress, Facebook Manager, Canva, Google Analytics, SEO, CRM
  • Capability in Adobe Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign and/or Photoshop)
  • Experience in not-for-profit sector, and knowledge of Jewish community, an asset
