Junior Programmer and IT Support

Full Time, 3 days on-site



What to expect

The Jr. Programmer and IT Support maintains, modifies, and may create utilities to enhance the software operations and reporting of the agency as well as provide continuous service of all technological office equipment in support of agency users.


  • Create, plan, and adapt software utilities using applicable programming languages as needed
  • Flag gaps in agency processes to IT Supervisor/Manager or Sr. Programmer by meeting with clients and/or monitoring reported issues
  • Develop and plan and test solutions in coordination IT Supervisor / Manager and Sr. IT Programmer
  • Assist in implementation projects such as upgrading or installing new software/hardware
  • Assist users to resolve computer related problems and instruct staff in use of new hardware/software, database and help end-users on the maintenance of their systems
  • Confer with clients both individual and professional, internally and externally to determine training needs
  • Create various IT related procedure guides
  • Update and maintain the computer systems of the agency as well as plan and implement roll out 
  • Related Technical degree with relevant industry certification
  • 1-3 Years computer and software troubleshooting
  • High level of experience with Visual Basic programming
  • Knowledge of SQL- and Access
  • High level of Excel including VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Macros
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Internet related problems
  • Knowledge of IBM WebSphere
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Excellent communication skills in both official languages
  • Creative and team-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
