Program Coordinator-L'Annexe

Part-time (4 days/week)

 

JOB SUMMARY

L’Annexe, the Ometz Centre for Young Adults, is a diverse, LGBTQ+-affirming Jewish social service and community space open to everyone between the ages of 16 – 35. L’Annexe collaborates with young people as they build autonomy, engage in community, and develop their unique vision of well-being. As a member of an interdisciplinary team made up of youth advocates, social workers, creative arts therapists, and educators, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and services aimed at: improving outcomes for neurodiverse young adults, addressing mental health needs of young adults, including neurodiverse young adults, and expanding the reach and impact of L’Annexe.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
  • To develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive strategy to serve young adults, with a focus on neurodiverse young adults, in a community and social service setting
  • To research and implement evidence-based practices in working with neurodiverse young adults
  • To plan a yearly calendar of skill-building and therapeutic closed groups for diverse young adults
  • To enhance and expand service delivery by building and strengthening partnerships with public entities, educational institutions, and community-based organizations
  • To develop curricula in response to community needs and the interests of young adults
  • To facilitate workshops and therapeutic-focused groups
  • To track and measure data to inform program improvement
  • To help recruit, supervise, and train consultants, interns, and volunteers
  • To provide coaching and mentorship to help L’Annexe staff build their understanding of neurodiversity and to develop strategies to support neurodiverse program participants within a group setting
  • To represent Ometz and L’Annexe services in the broader community
  • To provide clinical supervision to L’Annexe staff, as needed
  • To perform other duties, as assigned, to help L’Annexe reach its goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master’s degree in social work, youth work, or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience in group work.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse young adults.
  • Experience in program development and evaluation.
  • Commitment to providing LGBTQ+ affirming services.
  • Fluent bilingualism in English and French. We require English communication skills due to many of our clientele being from the English-speaking community.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Database systems).
