Project Administration Officer

12 weeks - 30 hours/week

What to expect

The summer employee will participate in creation and implementation of a Mentorship Program for young adult job seekers with little or no job experience. The program will match the young adults with experienced mentors in their professional field in order to provide them with support and guidance during their job search and once they secure employment.



Tasks and responsabilities include:
  • Identifying potential mentees among young job seekers, mainly new immigrants or members of the Jewish Orthodox Communities
  • Screening, interviewing and matching mentees with mentors according to skills and interests
  • Creating mentorship guidelines
  • Supporting  and monitoring mentoring relationships
  • Creating a database of mentors and mentees
  • Evaluating outcomes
  • Fluently bilingual; in English & French; written & spoken

This position has yet to be approved by Canada Summer Job Program.

The following are eligibility requirements dictated by the Canada Summer Jobs program. In order to apply for this position, you must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and;
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

This position requires the selected applicant to undergo vulnerable sector police check.
