Challenges of Today's Reality

This workshop will look at a range of problems faced by tenants in the context of a low vacancy rate for affordable apartments, and the coronavirus pandemic.
We will address some of the difficulties in finding a suitable apartment, responding to rent increases, and using available recourses when problems arise, such as the need for repairs, adequate heating, or extermination.

We will also focus on the challenges of keeping an apartment: dealing with threats of eviction due to non-payment, frequent late payment, repossession by the owner, evictions in order to enlarge or subdivide a dwelling, as well as evacuations to carry out repairs.
