About Ometz

Ometz is a charitable organization that supports and strengthens individuals and families through a range of employment, immigration, school and social services.

This year marks the 10th anniversary that we merged three best in class agencies (Jewish Immigrant Aid Services, Jewish Employment Montreal, Jewish Family Services) into one and we reach more than 13,000 people annually.

As we mark this milestone, we reflect on our rich history and 155 years of proud service to the community. Because of our combined efforts, today Ometz is a single point of entry to caring, connected and inclusive programs and services and our clients are better equipped to cope with life's challenges because we work together as a community.

Ometz is the Hebrew word for courage and it is a reflection of the courage of those who seek our support.
