About Ometz

Ometz is a charitable organization that supports and strengthens individuals and families through a range of employment, immigration, school and social services. The Hebrew word for courage, Ometz has been active in Montreal's Jewish community for 156 years.

Today, Ometz is the single point of entry for caring, connected and inclusive programs and services. We serve more than 13.000 people every year. Our clients are better equipped to cope with life's challenges because we work together as a community.

As we mark this milestone, we reflect on our rich history and 155 years of proud service to the community. Because of our combined efforts, today Ometz is a single point of entry to caring, connected and inclusive programs and services and our clients are better equipped to cope with life's challenges because we work together as a community.

Ometz is the Hebrew word for courage and it is a reflection of the courage of those who seek our support.
