Funded by Services Quebec, our Access 45+ Program employment services are specifically available for people over 45 years of age with job experience or who have been downsized.
Ometz’s Access 45+ Program services include:
- Establish an action plan that considers the candidate's employment goals and any potential challenges to be overcome;
- Offer career guidance, training and support to help candidates find and keep a job;
- Assist with the preparation of attention-grabbing resumes, cover letters and thank you notes;
- Coach clients on job search skills offering tools to conduct their searches independently;
- Offer coaching on networking and how to effectively use LinkedIn;
- For clients with limited computer skills, coaching sessions on how to find and apply for jobs online;
- Coaching on interview techniques;
- Conduct practice interviews;
- Coaching on the realities of the job market and creating realistic expectations;
- Organize motivational meetings to encourage clients to reach their full potential;
- Ongoing follow-up with candidates who have not found a job at the end of their program. If necessary, refer them to training, subsidies or other assistance programs.
Note: Some of these activities could be given in groups, depending on clients’ interests and availabilities.
Eligible candidates must:
- Be committed to finding paid employment.
- Have recent work experience, whether paid or unpaid.
- Provide all supporting documents required by Agence Ometz and Services Québec.
- Meet Services Québec eligibility requirements.
