Ometz parlour meetings provide the opportunity for parents to get together in the comfort and privacy of their own homes to support one another in the challenge of raising children.

The goal of these groups, which are parent-driven and professionally facilitated, is to build strong parent networks to support and teach, tear down stereotypes and get parents to examine their values, standards and expectations. Groups discuss common issues such as parenting style, strategies to handle stress and conflict, setting limits and discipline. Currently there are more than 50 parlour meeting groups throughout Montreal, representing close to 500 parents.
