well as **learn concrete skills you can start using right away to cope with
emotions in a way that will make a challenging situation better (or at the
very least not make it worse)**? Our upcoming Emotion Skills program is
currently accepting applications from young adults aged 16-35 who would like
to join us.
Discover the pleasure of communicating in French! Learn grammar and vocabulary
and start using it immediately in and outside of our classroom. Through our
beginner lessons, you will gain a base with which to engage in conversations
in daily situations and confidence to take your French to more advanced
levels. 8-week session.

make some of your favourite restaurant-style dishes right at home! Dustin is
going to be showing us how easy and inexpensive it is to make your own fried
rice. You don't even need a wok!

Last month's attempt at a Picnic in the Park for our Community Dinner was
sadly rained out! Join us for attempt #2 at the same park directly across the
street from our Centre.

Come join Melanie at L'Annexe for this 3-part series of Arts & Crafts Drop-
Ins! We'll be serving snacks and opening up the lounge to any young adults who
would like to come unleash their creativity.
Join us for a picnic dinner in the park to welcome Shabbat with Federation
CJA's PJ Library and it's partnering organizations - Ometz, the Jewish Public
Library and the Sylvan Adams YM-YWHA. There will be music, activities and more
for families to enjoy! Volunteers are needed to help at registration and
activity stations, welcoming families and with set-up/clean-up.

Our first few workshops hosted by the Writers Collective of Canada have been
such a pleasure and a success that we're having another! Join us for this next
one: an evening of introspection, prompted writing, supportive sharing, and
more.

Friday, August 11th! Our booth will be open from 11am to 4pm on the street in

Baking Club's next meet-up will be to make sugar cookies! Ricki will be
leading us to make her favourite recipe together.
All season long, members of our Ometz, L'Annexe: the Ometz Centre for Young
Adults, and Cummings Centre community have been taking care of and enjoying
our Intergenerational Community Garden. Soon, it will be time to harvest:
tomatoes, peppers, kale, celery, herbs, and more!
