Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is coming! Many people welcome in a new
year of goodness and sweetness by enjoying honey, fruit, and other treats.

You are invited to L'Annexe for our September Community Dinner, which will be
held the day before Rosh Hashanah begins! We'll be serving up a spread in
honour of the holiday and hanging out in a welcoming, non-judgmental
atmosphere.

Pizza & Games Night is one of our most popular events, so we're now doing it
monthly! We serve up some pizzas and let the group choose the game(s), then we
spend the night chilling, eating, and playing.

offering a group art therapy program this Fall for 25-35 year olds at

Come enjoy dinner with the L'Annexe community, including our GED & Literacy
Program students, in the sukkah in front of the YM-YWHA. We will be serving a
festive kosher meal and playing games in the sukkah in honour of the holiday.

lounge at L'Annexe.

L'Annexe: the Ometz Centre for Young Adults offers a variety of creative arts
therapy groups throughout the year, and we are so excited to announce our next
one: art therapy with our L'Annexe Art Therapist, Carmel!

BIG NEWS: We're going on an outing in the great outdoors! You are invited to
join us on our very first L'Annexe group hike up Mont Royal. Don't let the
word "hike" deter you, we'll be taking a leisurely walk up the paved walkways
on the mountain & going at a pace that's comfortable for the whole group.
During these difficult times, many of us are struggling. Agence Ometz, in
collaboration with BJEC, Federation CJA and PJ Library invite parents of
Jewish children to join us for a discussion about **how to cope with stress
and anxiety for both your child(ren) and yourself.** Led by Ometz mental
health professionals, this Zoom workshop will be geared to parents of older
children, and will include topics such as social media, fear of going to
school, dealing with antisemitism, and parental anxiety.

Of course our October Baking Club meetup had to have a pumpkin theme! Join us
on Monday the 30th from 4-6pm in the kitchen to bake some pumpkin spice
cookies and hang out. Anyone aged 16 to 35 is welcome to join us\; we provide
all necessary supplies here for you.
